20h00 : The Monotrol Kid (Folk americana)
The Belgian based singer-songwriter, TheMonotrol Kid, can say his days as a lonesome wandering storyteller are over. While his first album came in in a singer-songwriter style, his new album will grab you and will get under your skin. Folk - Americana lead by a distinctive voice and not far of the sound of the “Mermaid Avenue” albums by Wilco and Billy Bragg and the harmonies of The Jayhawks.
21h15 : Marco R. Wagner (USA - Americana, Roots, Country rock, Country blues)
Grandson of an orchestra director of German descent, son of a Spanish painter and a Brazilian pianist, Marco was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro's 1960's art scene. He left for the U.S. in the 80’s to drink from all the traditional styles that meld into this enormous umbrella we call Americana. His fourth album “140 Reasons” (Several Records, 2005) was a candidate for the Spanish Academy of Music Awards in two categories, and his acclaimed anti-war single "Democratize" was featured on Neil Young’s website. Marco has toured with artists such as Sid Griffin (The Long Ryders), Gene Taylor (Canned Heat, The Blasters) or Luthea Salom. His latest work “Back to the Plow” is a record made with the love of someone who minds to detail his condition as a rooted artist, where he tracked all instruments and vocals in his home studio during the pandemic. Edited and mastered by Grammy-Award winner Michael Saint-Leon (The Switchyard Studios, Nashville) and published by Several Records, critics have compared some of Marco’s songs to those of Gordon Lightfoot, Loudon Wainwright III or James Taylor.
20h00 : June Road (Folk)
Songwriting duo, consisting of British folk artist Harry Pane and Belgian violinist Maia Frankowsk.
21h15 : The man in black - A Johnny Cash solo tribute (A Johnny Cash solo tribute)
For over 5 years Ghent based artist Geert Bouckaert has been performing songs by Johnny Cash, accompanied only by his guitar. Bouckaert’s deep voice is very similar to Cash’s, but his performance is not a weak attempt to imitate the master. He adds his own touch to each of the songs and on the whole he sounds a bit rougher than Cash. Much more 2022 than 1955. The Man in Black covers the career of the greatest country singer of all time in just over 20 songs. Cash topped the country charts for years, but also managed to cross over to a wider audience. I walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Get Rhythm: everybody knows those songs. At the age of 70, just before his death, Cash had a huge hit with Hurt, that made him famous with yet a new generation. Gone for almost 20 years now, but there ain’t no grave can hold his body down. His songs are still very much alive.
20h00 & 21h15 : Eden and the Shakers
The project "Eden & The Shakers" was born during 2020 from an idea developed by the musicians of theband" Baron Samedi " (formed more than ten yearsago) Above all, the band wanted to collaborate with asinger not to interpret Baron Samedi's repertoire butrather to move towards , something more "vintage"Rock'n Roll. While remaining very attached to our“blues-boogie” roots, the idea was to go towards ourbig current influences: bands like Delta Bombers,Hi-Jivers, Kokomo Kings ... but also and always,Howlin 'Wolf or Johnny Cash ... And therefore as a style (although we don't reallylike labels !) Rock'n Roll… that sums it up well...
20h00 : Sura Sol (folk)
21h15 : Remko Van Damme (delta blues)
This show takes you back tot the Mississippi Delta bluesman Robert R Johnson. The founder of the 27 club who sold his soul to the devil! His music has influenced everyone from Muddy Waters to Eric Clapton and R.J.Remko. Remko does not try to imitate the originals. Instead he plays the songs his own way - with breathtaking slide lick and mind blowing harmonica riffs - sit back and relax and enyoy the Delta Blues with Black Label and the Robert Johnson songbook !
20h00 : Dark Mattr (folk)
21h15 : Vincent Slegers (americana)
Hearing "Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground" was the starting point of a long and lasting journey, which saw Vincent tour throughout Europe extensively. Music is a power deep within; one that has guided through hardships and sorrows and will inspire others to do the same. With his distinct voice and recogniseable guitar style, blending gloomy soundscapes with the lonesome and eerie sound of his rusted National resonator, he is bound to captivate.
20h00 : DC Snakebuster (blues)
Musical Heroes are Honored. Pumping Guitar Grooves. A Hypnotic Voice. Boogie Roots ...
20h15 : Pride (U2 tribute acoustic duo)
20h00 : The Loner (Neil Young acoustic solo tribute)
21h15 : SweeT (folk)
An acoustic duo, based in Shanghai, writing intra-cultural songs about life, love, daily experiences, both in English and Chinese.
20h00 : Cheena Monsoon (Singer-songwriter)
Brussels-born and London-based artist Cheena Monsoon plays intimate acoustic versions of his own work. Dark pop songs with intriguing guitar compositions. His new single 'All My Days with All My Heart' is a passionate ballad with a homemade video from during the third lockdown.
21h15 : Laura Crowe (Synth-pop)
